Fishing is performed out of a 2009 17′ forced air-heated Willy drift boat, or a 15′ raft during the Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall fish runs on the Olympic Peninsula, that will comfortably seat two-three adults per/boat. Maximum weight is not to exceed approx. 600 lbs. All rods, reels, tackle, bait and flies are included, but feel free to bring along your favorite rods, tackle, and flies, if you desire.
We also fish the Columbia river and Southwest rivers of Washington, out of a new 2008, 23′ Alumaweld Super Pro sled. Great runs of Spring Chinook, Summer, and Fall Salmon are expected again this year. Don’t miss out on a great time catching lots of fish.
The Summer Steelhead runs of the mighty Columbia river and it’s tributaries, the Lewis, Cowlitz and Kalama rivers, should be good again the season. Don’t miss your trip of a lifetime!
When you book with West Side Guide Service, we will gladly make your lodging reservations. I highly recommend the Miller Tree Inn, in Forks for a very comfortable stay. Great breakfast and big sack lunches are available too. Rates vary with accommodations. Motels are available also. Forks Motel, Dew Drop Inn, Olympic Suites and Pacific Inn are the favorites. Also Bear Cr. cabins and RV sites available.
Bookings for the Cowlitz, Lewis or the Columbia river systems, please call us for info on accommodations depending on where we are fishing.
Drift fishing, float fishing, side drifting, back trolling plugs or bait, vertical fishing, and back bouncing are the most widely used and effective fishing techniques. I also specialize in fly fishing for Steelhead, Salmon and Trout.
